Welcome in the Beaujolais.
Château Talancé, Beaujolais & Wine. Since 1580.
«When they don't cut down their enemies, they cut down their vines!»
For more than four centuries the Messrs of Talancé held high office in the military and distinguished themselves through their courage, but also their rebellious spirit. In 1580, they began to cultivate their vineyards near Denicé in Beaujolais.
Château Talancé, edified in the 16th century, rebuilt in the 19th, and its chapel from the 17th century are situated in the heart of a beautiful walled park of five hectares.
Surrounded by 16 hectares of vineyards, the Château offers a panoramic view over the Beaujolais.
Located in the north of the region, where the Gamay grape thrives on the acid soils of the upper Beaujolais, the Château cultivates «a richness on a poor soil» and practices traditional methods of wine making.
In 2007, Château Talancé opened its gates and became a location for receptions, seminaries, meetings, business and private events like weddings and anniversaries. It is also a great filming location. •
